That is very true. But you do know the 2012 Impalas have 300HP

I'll let this roll as long long as its constructive, informative, and backed with some sort of fact.
I've owned 'plenty' of GM products over the decades, too many to count, and am in no way hard line against ANY manufacturer, even offshore builders. If this thread leans this way, becomes just a product bashing tool, it's done.
Have had my 69 T/A for 40 years and it will be pry'd out of my dead hands. I've had and owned many GM and Fords and others as well that I would love to have back.
That being said, Rusty makes a very good point, and all product brands have had their disappointments and Trojan horses, including GM. Horse power isn't the only thing that makes or matters for a popular model/product. GM has lost me because of the lack of styling. I haven't seen anything that stirs my loins in a while. Although I wouldn't mind a new Camaro. The Vette, (?) my boss bought a newer one and was I pretty disillusioned with the ride and comfort. HP, not worries there, but again isn't everything. It has to be a balanced package. Without the wow factor, can we say Pontiac..
Although, it maybe a good idea to buy a new high HP car of any type before they are gone for good.....

I still own a 1990 GM auto and wouldn't trade it for anything presently out there.
It's easy to work on , has never let me down and still rides like a dream. Agree with Hayapower completely ! HP isn't everything, but it sure is nice when you need it.

Have 8 personal vehicles.
2 GM, 2 Chrysler, 3 Ford, and my grandparents old Rambler (HP wasn't an option for Ramblers
I support the big 3. They all have had their champions. Had Pontiac survived, I probably would have bought the new T/A, more so if it had been a one year only run before the axe fell on Pontiac. Thanks Gov..
