Default What adapter do I need for EV chargers?

Hello everyone.

I recently started looking into electric vehicle charging options and got confused by the different types of adapters available. Some chargers come with Type 1 or Type 2 connectors, while others mention CCS or CHAdeMO standards.

I’m trying to understand which adapter is compatible with most public charging stations and whether universal adapters actually exist or are safe to use. Also, do adapters affect charging speed or battery health in any way? If I buy a portable EV charger, should I invest in multiple adapters for travel or just stick to one standard?

Any guidance from experienced EV users would be really helpful.
