Default Econoline 1990

Hi there,
I am thinking of purchasing a 1990 Econoline Van and would like to ask you all what some things to look out for or ask the owner about.
My knowledge of cars in general is minimal and I'm nervous about taking the step but I have wanted one of these vans for so long and these are rare her in Australia...this one is an import from California.
I really appreciate any and all advice or knowledge - thanks in advance for your time.

They were a tough truck and provided good service if maintained. This one appears to be in very nice condition..

Do you know which size engine is in it?

Hi there, thanks for your reply, I only know it has two tanks.

It's a E250.

I'm really stressed over whether to get it or not...I'm getting a pre sale inspection done so that will hopefully help me decide. While I understand I am buying an older car, I just don't want it to be a money pit!

I'm guessing its a motor that you can find parts for easily?

Are there many like this floating around in the States?... are they a dime a dozen?

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

There are many older models floating around. The problem is in some areas it is becoming difficult to obtain parts for them here.

If you decide to purchase it , I might be able to offer some suggestions as to what to watch so you don't have problems.

As stated earlier, they were a tough truck and held up pretty well.

Most vehicles like them had some type of warning when the front brake pads were worn down, but these did not have any warning and if you did not keep an eye on the brake pads , by the time you realized something was wrong you had to replace the front brake rotors and pads, resulting in unnecessary expense.
