OK did you torque the head bolts down in right sequences and did you use the same bolts when you put them back on? Another thing did you do it in three stages when you were putting the bolts back in or did you just torque them down all at once. Some people don't have the patients to wait while doing something like that.

New head bolts were used, and there are actually 5 stages.

37 ft lbs
loosen 1 full turn
22 ft lbs
90 degrees
additional 90 degrees

and I used the sequence from the attached image

Also I'm having a problem with the power windows as well, I checked the fuses for 210, 211 & 226, the fuses appear to be good. None of the window switches appear to work, I actually swapped out the master window switch with a good one out of a 02 taurus (exactly same switch) and they still didn't work, I'm not very good at checking wiring. I do have a multimeter, but I heard a test light is better but I don't have one.

Since all switches do not work, I'm wondering if its the hot feeding the master windows switch or a bad ground knocking them all out. I was wondering if the GEM wasn't going bad or something, would a 01 Taurus GEM work?

Your multimeter should be just fine for checking if you have power and ground available at the master switch. If you don't have both or only one of them, there is always the possibility that a wire in the harness that folds as you open and close the driver's door might have opened.
You seem to have enough to do to solve the smoke problem , so I don't like to throw more work in front of you with the power window problem.
Kyle , our Ford Parts specialist on this site would be better able to answer your question regarding BCM compatibility.

I stand çorrected. Sometimes one has to take a moment and relax in between the stages while torquing down the heads giving them a chance to settle and make a better seal. Just something to think about.

Actually I got half of the windows working now (rear ones, front still don't work), There was a broke LT Blue/BLK, a broke Pink/Yellow and two that were almost broke, fixed all of them but don't know why the front still dont work.

Edit: I do however hear the auto down relay kick when I press down on the driver window, but nothing happens other than the click of the relay

If you hear the motor turn on with the switch it may be the regulator. As for the BCM, it is quite possible that one from a Taurus will work on a Sable. If you can post or message your VIN I would be happy to check what years/models interchange with your vehicle. Let me know.

No, no sound inside the driver or front passanger, I may have missed another broke wire, I hope not.

You can scratch the BCM and door problem now, After fixing those wires and the rear windows working, I decided to remove the driver door panel and found I had left the motor connector unhooked, I hooked it up and connected the switch and 1 touch down, up and down all worked on the driver, I decided to check the front passenger and took its panel off and sure enough I left the motor connector unhooked too, hooked it back up and that window works fine, so all four windows are working like they should, I even lubed the sides, so the broken wire in the driver door to body boot was the whole problem with that initially.

Now I'll have to get back to the main issue and check coolant fluid levels and, I'm gonna put a little coolant in it and see if it smokes more, if it does that will rule out pooling.

I am happy to hear that the window situation was taken care of. Hopefully you can figure out the other issue fairly easily as well.
