1985 Merkur XR4Ti 5.0 V8 project
1985 Merkur XR4Ti – Race Car in Progress-SCCA/AutoX
White/Grey cladding
Salvage Title (WA)/Clean and clear besides that (ask for the details)
No P.S.
No A.C.
No heat
97% rust free (minor surface on the rocker and the metal plug in the spare tire well in rusted out)
80% Finished
MOTOR AND TRANS: All of this is installed in the car
5.0 H.O. from a 89GT Mustang (0 miles on fresh rebuilt) Bought the motor already built so as far as I know its stock besides a cam, which I was told by the builder was a torque based Lunati Cam, but I don’t know what the specs of the cam are. Custom motor mounts with poly bushings, Missing a few pieces like the MAF and starter.

Thunderbird Turbo coupe DS
RAM H.D. clutch kit, Jegs HD clutch fork, Stock motorsport flywheel
BM ripper shifter
SUSPENSION:
New Gas shocks front and rear
200lbs Hypercoil springs up front and 650lbs hypercoil springs in the rear (stock ride height on both)
MC2 solid diff mount and MC2 solid beam mount
MC2 Nylon STA bushings
Stock sways and front bushings
WIRING:
89 GT ECU harness (missing injector harness)
Crane Cams HI-6 Ignition Box
No Interior wiring (bad shape) All unneeded wiring was ripped out but the stuff that I was going to keep (FP, lights, power winders) was just clipped so it could be spliced into later. I have a few spare wiring harnesses and pieces to make a interior harness.
BRAKES:
Stock
New pads up front with resurfaced rotors
Drums out back
INTERIOR:
Pretty much nonexistent, everything was ripped out and tossed. I still have a cracked dash (upper), passenger side door panel, new headliner, and misc trim and panels. But interior is easy to find for these cars.
I have a handful of spare parts for the car as well, including a brand new set of ROTA RB 15X7 bolt pattern of 4x108, includes hub centric rings, wheels in silver. I’ll throw in a 750lbs engine stand as well.
A lot of money has been invested into the car, Asking $3,000, reasonable offers welcome.
