Hello all i am new to the forum and was hoping i could get some insight on my f250. It is a 2014 gas 6.2l f250 super duty. I noticed today the truck was making a ticking noise similar to a pen tapping a table. It sounds similar to the "typewriter" sound powerstroke owners describe. To me it appears to come from the alternator or somewhere close by. Almost has the sound of a small spark. https://youtu.be/h4dXMVxd1_4

 

Right now we have no idea what the source might be,
Could you "carefully" try a piece of rubber hose and point it close to the area where you believe it might be originating?
