I have a 2002 f150 4x4, My power locks only work part of the time. The remote entry will not work. Sometimes if i remove the positive side from the battery and leave it off a few min's. then put it back on then the door locks will work fine for a couple day's. Sometimes late at night the horn will start chripping about every 10-30 sec. I then have to take the pos. side from the battery off to make it stop. This all started around when my temp. and compus display went out on the overhead console. Some on told me that i need to replace the central security module.This seems to happen more when it gets colder outside.Can anyone help out with this

 

i would suspect the VSM-Vehicle Security Module. These modules were notorious for failing and affecting door lock function.
