Default Lowering an 88 150

I have a "shop truck" project on my 88 F150. Like some affordable suggestions from anyone on lowering it minimum 4" -max 6". Not just about the money, overall I'd like to prove I could do it within a budget. Any success with tires sizes without much alteration appreciated too. I'm running a average 30 miles a week (max 60); prefer this to become a rigid-to-the point truck. Thoughts and any pics of your successes appreciated. Thx
