transmission interchagability

I have a 4.6l dohc engine out of a 1999 lincoln continental. I was wondering if any rear-drive transmissions share the same bell housing. Not finding a lot of help on the web. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the 4.6. come with a 4R70 or 4R70W. which are electronically controlled.
you can also use the Ford AOD.
Both use the Ford small block 6 bolt bellhousing pattern
