will a transmission off a 400 fit a 460 engine?

Default will a transmission off a 400 fit a 460 engine?
i currentyl have a transmission off a 400 engine and was wondering if it would fit my 460 engine or if it doesnt what will...because i have also a transmission off a inline 6...sorry i dont know the names of the transmissions...

Probably. IIRC there is a rare 400 with a small block pattern. As long as you don't have that 400, it will work. Just try bolting it up. If it fits, it will work.
