I'm new to the forum and have search for this topic already but can't seem to find it.

My '03 Windstar with 154,xxx miles on it. While driving around 35-40 mph the lights on the dash flicker and the vehicle suddenly stops. If I disarm the factory alarm the vehicle will start up. My mechanic has determined it is something in the factory alarm but isn't an electrical mechnic. Someone else said it is the alarm module but I can't find anything where the alarm module is separate from the ECM. I am trying to sell the vehicle so I don't want to drop a lot on it but I can't also see selling it to someone with this issue as they all want to pay $1500 for it when it should be worth closer to $2800. One person that inquired about it said he's looked at three other windstar's with the same issue so hopefully someone here has experienced what I am talking about. Any ideas would be helpful.

The RKE(Remote Keyless Entry) module is what you are looking to replace.
