Question 1995 Aerostar Blower Fan Intermittent

The blower fan works both the front and aux until the van is under acceleration.
The blower all but stops then after reaching speed or foot off the accelerator then the blower fan will come back and operate as normal. Anyone with suggestions on why this is occuring and what is the cause? Appreciate the help!

Are we sure the fan slows down and not the function direction which could be affected by throttle position (vacuum) ? Insufficient vacuum will generally default to defrost position. Just a shot in the dark !

I think you are somewhat correct. We have found some leaking vacuum lines and that has helped some. Seems that the system has a controller I guess inside the dash that may be the culprit. Well now the van has been involved in a deer collision and most likely will be totaled. Now I need fellow Aerostar owners to give their views on how much this vehicle is worth? Spread the word, any help would be most appreciated.
