1995 windstar interior lights
I just bought a 1995 windstar....and the door ajar light is always on...and the interior lights will not shut off for a good 45 min. after the van has been shut off. also...when i woke up this morning , the interior lights were back on!,
what is going on? can anyone help??

You will notice that there is no switch in the door frame to turn the lights on when you open the door and shutthe lightswhen you close the door. The switch is included with the door lock. The solution is to spray some WD-40 in the keyhole and around the door lock. Open and shut the door a few times to work in the WD-40. If it doesn't work, spray the WD-40 another time and repeat the open/close action. The light should eventually shut and the door ajar message will disappear. Use the straw attachmentwith the WD-40 nozzle. If it doesn't work, try the same thing on another door. You do not know which door has the problem.
