Default 2002 Windstar EGR overflow?

I started experiencing problems shortly after changing the air filter. Engine light came on. Had it checked at garage and computer says an EGR overflow. tubing anddiaphragm were cleaned. Computer codes were cleared. Half a day later same thing. Checked suction on vacuum line and decided to replace selenoid. Fixed the suction trouble. Cleared computer codes. Half a day later guess what came back? Yes, that darned light! Same problem different day. When coasting along driving the van seems to be tugging. If I let off the accelerator it stops. If Iresume coasting it still does the same thing. The van may be old but has low mileage (50,000 KM) so it shouldn't be anything too major. If anybody has any ideas let me know. I don't feel like going to the garage and throwing away money at "Could be's" and "Possibly's". Thank You!!

Put a DPFE sensor in it.
