I have a 99 windstar that on acceleration the trac light comes on and there is a slipping noise. When almost to a complete stop I feel the trac control kick in again. Someone said maybe a sensor on a wheel ? Any help apreceated!

I had the same issue on my 99 windstar exept on mine my trac control would come on every time I would make a right turn. I took it to my local mechanic and found out that the sensor on the right wheel had rusted almost all the way off. he replaced it for around $150 and it is working fine now. am glad that I have it since I live in ohio and in the winter I depend on this system. hope this helps.
