Default ABS Module Removal

Just wondering if removal of the ABS electronic module will result in complete loss of brakes. I.e., if I hit the brakes with the electronic portion removed (it needs repair) will I end up pushing out something on the valve body that will result in a complete loss of brake fluid? I'd rather not leave the van up on the ramps for a week and I'm planning on leaving it in the driveway during the repair. All I'm wondering is if I can back the van off the ramps without emptying the brake lines.

Thanks.

great way to expose the open portion of the abs pump to dirt and moisture. theoretically the valves shouldn't open with the module removed but messing with a safety system is never a good idea. do not try this imo.

Agreed. I should have been more specific in that I only wanted to take the car off the ramps and leave it parked while the house was empty for a week. I talked to my local Ford dealer about it and generally, removing the ABS module won't do any SHORT term damage, but driving it around like that is just asking for trouble.

Thanks!
