Default Cruise Control

Hello. I have an issue with cruise control. I have to push the cruise control button many times before cruise control comes on. Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks.

I bet there is some dirt on the push button contacts.

Thanks. I also found out that it works if I push the button and release the gas at the same time, it works. Sometimes.

There is more than one button for the cruise control. Anyone could be affected if the clock spring is damaged. The clock spring is the wire harness in the steering wheel that winds up and unwinds-well- like a clock spring.
