Drops of coolant in cylinder
Hi,
This is very technical and I hope someone can help.
My 1996 Aerostar XLT is having an oil pump replaced. While the oil pan is off the engine and only after three days of waiting for a correct pump, my mechanic noticed literally a few drips of what appears to be coolant emerging from the #6 cylinder chamber. Nothing dripping until the third day.
Is there anything besides a minor break in the head gasket, crack in the head, warped head etc. that could account for this. It is a miniscule amount and I am wondering if it can be from any other source.
Thanks for your help!

Cracked block is another possiblilty.
How many miles on the engine? Might be time for a fresh engine if you plan on keeping the vehicle.
At least pull the heads, might just be gasket.
At least you caught it before sheburned up and stranded you somewhere.
