Post Expansion valve location for 01 Ford Windstar van

Okay Im new here so if I have posted this in the wrong area, please correct me. I have bought a used 2001 Ford Windstar van and was told the A/C didnt work due to the compressor had went out. I had the whole A/C system checked out and was told that when the compressor went out metal shavings had gotten into the condensor, drier and expansion valve and would cost 1300.00 to repair.(ouch). I do have some mechancial skills so I elected to replace all myself. I did get all replaced except the expansion valve. This was due to me not knowing where it was located or how I needed to go about to replace it. Ive tried googling it but I cant seem to find a site that in plain English tells me where its at or how to replace it. All I know it its attached to the evaporator. Is there a rear evaporator for the van or does just one run both the front and rear. I am completely stumped on this. And does the cooling and heating have two blend doors or just one?( I have replaced the one behind the radio). All I can say is any and all information would be greatly appreciated...
