Hello all, I am a owner of a 2000 Ford Winsdstar My van died on the highway Dec 2006 replaced alternator and battery, same scenario Sept. 2007, replaced alternator, van died again Dec 2007. I just bought another battery and alternator. My mechanic checkedvan and said the alternator is not holding the charge, am I missing anything is there anything I need to check? Check engine light is on....

 

check battery cables to see if they are shorting out somewere. like were the cable holders are on the body or frameor by the manifold
