Hi, I am trying to repair the front drivers power window motor on my 03 Windstar. I unscrewed it from the regulator, slid it out of the regulator barrel but cannot get the gear to go all the way back in. I have tried putting the gear into the regulator first then putting the casing back over the motor as well as trying to connect the motor with casing on it back into regulator barrrel. Either way it stops about 1/8 inch from going all the way in so in can be screwed back into place. Can't figure it, I have tried everymethod I can think of to get it to go up that last 1/8" including turning the gear up into the barrel and moving the window up and down by hand but nothing works. Is there a trick to this someone might know?
