Very curious intermittent problem. 2013 Explorer Limited, original owner, 113K miles. Recently started reversing the left-right orientation on the dashboard screen when put into reverse. It's intermittent. Up-down orientation stays normal. When the left-right funny business is present, I also lose the orientation lines. Going into setting menu and playing with the 2 camera settings has no effect. I can usually but not always fix it by disconnection the battery for a few minutes (this may be a random occurrence rather than a power cycle effect). Never a blank screen, no BSOD, just left-right reversal.
Grateful for suggestions on how to fix.

 

What may be required would be to verify if the camera is sending incorrect info . Once that is verified the dash unit needs to be checked out.

 

Generally if the menus are not reverersed, you can safely say the camera has an issue. They take a lot of thumping around and a solder joint may be to blame. These are throw aways and your likely fix is to replace the camera.
