Default Battery Warning light

Hey all I have an 1988 EA Ford Falcon. Battery is 6 months old. Just had the Dizzy and coil replaced. about a month ago i was driving back to Bundaberg drom Brisbane and my battery light came on. Didnt think much of it as it only stayed on for about 2 minutes. However Driving to and from work today it stayed on all the way there and back. The car is still driving like a dream. There seems to be no problems. Can someone please help me with a possible diagnosis as to what is going on with my beast.

Thank you Chicki

Usually when the charge indicator lite comes on, System is not charging the battery. If you don't have access to anything like a voltmeter it would be wise to have the battery and charging system checked out before it quits entirely, and it's never in a convenient place. By the way, what is a Dizzy? Never heard that expression before. Thanks, hanky
