So, the contour was having issues so my wife took it to a shop. They say it is spitting and engine code that says the intake rail control module is bad. They say that the part is no longer available. I've never heard of such a thing and can't find it online anywhere. What gives? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Did (or will the shop) provide the code? What year and engine does your car have? Knowing these will help folks contribute to finding an answer or offering some advice.

 

Did you check with the junk yards for the part? I bought one for a Windstar from our local junk yard.
