Here is a link that will help you locate the IAC:

You may need to remove the air induction tube to see the IAC. Listed in the diagram as #1 "intake air control valve".

ok some progress... Tested the fuel pressure today(still not able to locate the iac motor on this car). Here are the readings..
Key on car off- 37-38psi
car on-32-33 psi
car on, fuel regulator line off-43psi( regulator is working)
car on,giving gas- if i hold throttl it immediatly goes to about 34psi than drops down to about 32psi or so.
Key off- holds pressure... so does this all seem ok????

correction---- after turning the car off it DOES drop about a psi every min so it is not holding pressure once key is off. Also when car is on and i put it in gear it goes up to about 34 psi and when i put in nuetral or park it goes back to 32 psi.

the belt is not suppose to jump around ! if it is then it can cause a miss because of the slop in the belt !

I understand the belt shouldnt slap around but wouldnt that cause a problem more than just at idle in gear? I would think it would run funny in park at idle or diving it in gear but doesnt.

Those fuel pressure readings are within spec. Key Off, the pressure will drop, and then should hold at about 25 psi. There is a check valve on the fuel pump that could be leaking. However, I don't think this would cause a rough idle in gear.

The IAC motor looks like this:

Does that 2.0 liter engine have Varriable Cam Timing, VCT? If it does there will be a connector, front of engine, about the middle of the valve covers, possibly with a rubber boot over it.

Here is a pic of VCT solenoid location:

If it does, disconnect that connector, and see how will the engine idles in gear.

Also, have you ever disconnected the MAF sensor, and see how will the engine idles.
