I am looking for information concerning the fuel filter locations on 1986 2 door CV. I have a Haynes manual that states there are 3 filters on the model with the 302 EFI. One is at the fuel pump, which has been changed, on is supposed to be in front of the drivers side rear wheel, which I cannot locate and there is no evidence that it has been eliminated. The third filter the Haynes manual mentions, but does not give a location, is one of the problems I have. My questions are; where there any models made that the filter near the rear wheel was located somewhere else and where is the third filter, if that is actually good information.

 

Finally located the fuel filter, it is on the passenger's side of the vehicle. After talking with several people, including a Ford dealership, I have decided the Hanes manual is incorrect and have abandoned the search for the third filter.
