Unhappy 1997 crown victoria

I have a 1997 Crown Victoria that has the keyless entry key fob and the key pad as well as a standard slot for a key. My problem is that the key locks on the two front doors won't open the doors, but the trunk works. Is this just due to non-use? If it is I'll try to shoot some oil in there during warm weather and work them free. If they come free I'll be sure to use the key on occasion to keep everything operating in there.

That might work, but I would pull the interior panels and lubricate the linkages and the inside of the latch also. Just spray liberally and clean up after. Good luck.

Default Thanks!

Thank you for the info! I'll try that as soon as it warms up a little here. Your advice is always appreciated. It normally would'nt be an issue but I learned to be careful when the battery is disconnected.
