Our '99 Crown Vic, I am having a problem fueling the CV, It takes forever to fill the gas tank, I have to pump very slow or it spits gasoline back at me. Does anyone know what the fix would be?

A clogged or closed vent valve in the fuel evap system can cause this type problem. Engine off, the vent valve is usually open to allow pressure created when filling the tank with fuel to go out through the charcoal canister ,through the vent valve to the atmosphere. Sometimes the vent valve exit gets clogged with dirt due to it's location and makes for difficult filling of fuel into the tank. The valve is located usually under the vehicle and it should be normally open. It is supposed to close when the engine is running.
