Can anyone advise me on opening a glove box door when the latch has quit working? It would be great if I could do it without damaging the door. My registration and insurance documents are in the box, which makes it rather important. I have tried using the key and changing the lock position, but cannot turn the lock either.

 

This may not be the best suggestion , but should work.
If you carefully pry down on the top of the compartment door sometimes it will clear to get it open.
