transmisson problem

have an 06 crown vic police that will go in reverse but not forward, I have access to some older transmissions a 1996 mercury marquis and a 1998 lincoln does any one know if they will fit?

They will not interchange due to the computer controls and sensors in them. Sorry for bad news.

will any other years transmissions work, ford lincoln or mercury?

From:

I believe an 06, 07, 08 will work. I believe anything older will have wiring and solenoid issues.
