Default '01 E150 a/c fan stops blowing

We have a 2001 E150 passenger van with 5.4L V8 330CI engine. We have had it for about 4 years.

In the last couple of months, the a/c and vent fan has been stopping when accelerating or going uphill. The rear a/c and vent keeps blowing, it is just the dash fan that stops. Once we reach an even rate of speed, the fan kicks back on. Has anyone experienced this who could give me some insight as to what might be the cause and possible solution? It was low on Freon and we had the proper amount added so it is no longer low.

thanks for any help!

Don't know if this is the problem, but it sounds like the ground for the fan motor is getting lost when accelerating. Might be a good idea to check and confirm all the grounds ,and there are a few, are clean and tight. There should be one or two that connect the negative battery cable to the sheet metal .Some are even under the dash. To confirm if that is the problem, just run a addl ground from the neg post of the battery to the firewall near the blower motor. There is always the possibility the blower motor itself is faulty.

Does the blower fan stop,, or does venting change to the Defrost position under acceleration events?
