I currently own a 02 E 350 Super Duty extended 15 passenger van. It has, I think, some strange lights in front and mid cabin area. They don't go on when the doors are opened, but the switches are in the door jambs. They have to be manually switched on anytime I need light. The switches are little rockers on each light that don't click into a locked position, but are very sensitive to touch. I found a conventional dome light in a 06 E350 and want to know if I can swap it into the original light location. I know that the 2 light styles are different, 02 are rectangular, 06 are oval. I will need to modify the 02 headliner or get an 06 headliner. Will I be able to make the swap or is there more that I would be required to do to get the 06 light to work?
