Well sorry i did call them they assured me they did it correctly i wasnt on site when it got towed....so dont know which was used....can i fill fluid thru the tran dipstick ? And once filled how do i check filled properly. Let it warm up and check while running. Thanks for ur help

that's the only way that I know of to fill the fluid up on a trans. and yes that's how you check the fluid level. just remember don't overfill it you'll end up making it slip. It's measured in pints not quarts

well guys thanks for the help so i went to change the fluid got most of the bolts on one side went to the other and wow noticed a lver that was connected hooked it and bam the tranny worked.......all this stress for nothing but i did learn what is that lever called that was unhooked?

I would venture to say that it was the kick down rod that also tells it when to shift up or down. that van has the old style trans. with over drive.
