1991 E-150 5.8L 351W OBDII plug location ?
Old van, not in the best shape but works, took it out the shed yesterday after 4 months and started well but check engine light comes on after 10 mins of driving. I have a obd2 scanner but I can't find the plug to connect it...!!! I looked in the users manual book but couldn't find the information. Little help please.
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but there is no OBDll on that vehicle..
OBDll didn't come out on most vehicles until late 1995 and 1996.
You cannot use an OBDll scanner on an OBD l vehicle.
There are other ways to obtain codes from an OBD l system.
There is a diagnostic plug located on the passenger side engine compartment near the starter relay. If it has never been removed it may have a plastic cover on it saying "TEST PLUG"..
Depending on just how far you want to go, I may be able to suggest some things you could try.

I have always used my old reader for these but I know this method works using a jumper wire because the code reader supplies the "jumper connection" with the LED indicator.. Keep in mind, the information is limited and don't go replacing items just because its code shows up because too many times the code remains after part replacement.. Diagnose first.

The info raski supplied is good.
You also have the option of looking into another choice.
Type in "Tool Source" and on that site Phone # 1-888-220-8350
Tool source part # 117464 ,,,, Thexton part # 443 cost $20.75
This sweet little tool allows you to obtain OBD l codes , erase them and ALSO utilize an unknown function in your vehicle's computer and that is to conduct "Dynamic Testing", which the tool allows you to run tests already in the computer with the engine running and it will automatically conduct those tests and provide any pending trouble codes.
All you have to do to start the tests is to move the steering wheel 1/2 turn left and right plus step on the brake pedal once. The rest of the tests are done automatically while you just watch and listen. When it is done it will provide you with any continuous codes and pending codes.
I found this to be much simpler to do my testing with..
