Default 1992 E150 showing codes AFTER tune up

My van is throwing codes after I did a tune up. I replaced the spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor. I also did a flush of the radiator. After 2 minutes of running the check engine light came on. I plugged in the OBDI and the codes that came back were 311, 411, and 538. Anyone have any Ideas? The book says its not regulating the RPMs yet drives better than before.

In the process of flushing the radiator , did you manage to get some parts of the engine and wiring wet?
If so, most of the time with a little time and warm engine temp the codes just might not come back after being cleared.

If so, after the engine has warmed up a bit, clear the codes and go have a cup of coffee. This could be one of those times where patience pays off and the water in the wrong place may dry and the codes go too.

Vacuum line leaking might cause all three of your codes. Did you disconnect anything? If your 92 van has the 4.9, you could have bumped and broke a plastic vacuum line on your solenoids which are mounted just above your # 5 and 6 spark plugs.

Yes, some things got wet. I have driven the van for 200 miles or more yet the check engine light is still coming on.

Hanky,
Yes. It comes on anywhere from 1 to 4 minutes after driving. If the AC is on the check engine light comes on sooner. If it helps it is a 5.0 engine with a Tradewinds package in the back.
