Guy I bought this from unhooked something in the back door, so it won't unlock with a key. Not sure how to reconnect. It is a pain to always have to go hit the electric button up front to get into the back door.

It looks like you're going to need to remove the inside covering on the door and actually see what happened there.
Suggestion,,,,,,,,
Might not want to have the other shop look at it, what do you think ?

Yeah, I will never take anything to him again. This guy just said he unhooked the lock. It still locks and unlocks with the power buttons.

Usually, there is a link that connects the key tumbler section to the lock assy. What I have seen before is,the retaining clip that holds the link to the lock assy breaks or comes off and just needs to be replaced. so the tumbler assy can operate the lock assy.
Maybe someone can furnish a diagram of the parts layout so you can see the parts involved and their operation.
As a last resort you could always look in another door and get some idea of what does what. Our Moderator has always been able to provide diagrams , hopefully he will respond.

I’d be looking at what hanky mentioned if the lock was unhooked.
Theres a small rod the clips into the door handle lock cylinder arm and extends to and connects to the door lock actuator within the door latch assy . If a disconnect was done, most likely there.
If you look into the door, and at the handles backside, you should see the key cylinder with a short arm attached. The lock actuator arm should be there, and clipped in. Unless for some reason the rod was removed. If you don’t see it, look towards the door latch to see if it slipped down/out/hanging.

For 94 there isn’t great detail on replacement steps/ illustrations, some generalized replacement steps, exploded view etc.
I can send you what’s available if you’d like..

a lot of times the lock cylinder freezes up, if you pull the license plate bracket the whole lock and handle comes out with it then you can see what you have to do

Thanks guys. I will pull the license plate bracket. You can't see anything from the inside. The lock cylinder moves easy. it just doesn't do anything.
