I attempted to replace the ball joints on my 2000 e350 super duty cut away van and discovered that the lower ball joint is welded in place. Has anyone come across this before and know what to do next?
i put it back together until I can figure out the next step.
Any help would be appreciated.

 

All of the replacements use a snap ring. I wonder if they were replaced in the past and the installer tacked them. In any case, grind the weld off, and replace with the heavy duty ones
