Default 2004 E-450 with cabin air flow issue

I have a motor home based on a 2004 E-450. For the past year it has been doing something very weird and is now to the point where I need to fix it. For the past year whenever I was climbing a hill, we are talking small 2% grades, the air flow would all but cease from the vents (dash, floor, and defrost). As soon as the vehicle leveled out the air flow would return to normal. Today it decided to stay in the blocked mode. When blocked a small amount of air comes out of all three output areas, it was just enough to keep the cabin tolerable for a 4 hour return trip today.

I suspect a baffle actuator was getting weak and has now failed. I'm seeking information of dashboard disassembly and the air flow diagrams. I'd like to repair this myself if at all possible. I do have a endoscope and I am considering putting it into the vents to see what I can find.

I am open to all suggestions. I have an 8-hour drive in under 2 weeks and I'll be camping at that location for 9 days.

First thing check the vacuum reservoir tank and the check valve.
You have 6.8L or 6.0L Turbo?

I have the V10 6.8L. Do you happen to know where the tank is located?

Don't know, can't find the location.

How it looks: More Information for DORMAN 47995 (rockauto.com)
And the check valve: More Information for DORMAN 47150 (rockauto.com)

Default Vacuum Leak

I have repaired this twice on my 06 E150. It is easier to abandon the old vacuum res and install a new one and check valve. Getting to the old one is impossible !

Thanks, everyone. I have the parts ordered. This looks like an easy fix. FWIW I liked this video best.

Follow up: I ended up routing the vacuum from the engine through the fender because I already had a wire in the path the needed to come out. So it was easy. I attached the reservoir to the bolt that is up by the dog house inside the cab because the location by the battery has a high current fuse for the motor home that blocks that location. All seems good. I took a 9 hour road trip and all worked great.
