Hi y’all,
I just purchased a 2005 Ford E150 Van. There’s a problem with the power windows on the drivers side.
The driver side switch does not work for either the driver window or the passenger window. On the passenger door the switch and window work fine.
I’ve ruled out problems with the fuse, and the switches and the motor. I’m at a loss. When I try the switches there is so sound, or movement of any kind.
Any thoughts?

 

That question always comes up, how was it determined the switches and motor were OK ?
Did you check the wires in the diver's side door hinge area for a possible broken wire?

 

I removed the switches and motor from the drivers side door and tested them on the passenger door (which was always working fine)
I did end up checking the wires in the door hinge and found a broken wire. Replaced it and now the power windows are all working!
