Default 2012 Ford e350 advancetrac warning

Good day, all. I received an Advancetrac warning while freeway driving yesterday. Along with the statement i got three yellow icons—abs circle, skid symbol, and tps. The vehicle had no change at all in handling or performance. I plugged in an obd2 but there were no faults noted. I am at a loss as to what the fault is.

If for any reason any wheel speed was different from the others, the skid symbol could come up. Most times it will go away after the vehicle is shut down. Some problems need to appear more than once to set a code. Just watch and see if they come back.

Thanks Hanky. I will keep an eye on the fault codes, but I should have added that this fault had occurred previously. It appears to be intermittent. The fault is on a Pleasure Way RV camper van, which had not been driven for two months prior to the current event. Would it help at all if I disconnected the battery and allowed some time to go by and then re-connected? I've heard that a low voltage might trigger the fault?

What is happening is,
A momentary loss of speed signal either from a wheel or connection will illuminate the traction lamp.

Use a scanner that has wheel speed capability and monitor the speed sensors in graph format, all graphs should be similar, the odd one will be the culprit..

Great idea! I may do this for my Fusion (I know, this post is for vans) as I suspect the "Service Advancetrac" message + ABS/ESC dash lights are related to a wheel speed sensor. At the very least, it's the cheapest place to start! I also might double-check that all connections to the battery and battery wiring harness are solid.

A good question,,, do you have a scanner capable of doing what was suggested, most folks don't.

Yes I do but I'll have to see if the wheel speed sensors are available pids to graph in the app.
