The smart thing to do is put everything back as it was.

Certain info placed on the net can make it easier for your vehicle to be stolen, pretty sure you don't need that problem.

Sure, those wires are capped and taped and do plan to fix that wiring. It’s my only vehicle so I’m looking for a short term alternative while I wait for parts/wiring.

The anti-theft system is (purposely) difficult or impossible to bypass.

You mention that now the wires are "capped and taped". They should be reconnected to their original condition. I don't know if those wires are part of the anti-theft system but, until those circuits are restored, you can't know if that's the problem.

Are you certain that the no start issue is anti-theft related? Perhaps you did some other damage (blown fuse or something) while doing the coil change.

Hi there,

I believe that they are part of the anti-theft system but I will continue to check other things out. The vehicle will occasionally start and run for a minute or two and then it’s back to turning over but nothing further.
I’m wondering if the anti theft system is disabling fuel to the pump after a minute ir two as a safety.

The wires were capped as a temporary safety. I do plan to fix that as soon as the parts come in.
I did check all fuses and battery charge is good. Windows, headlights and radio work. Internal lights and locks do not.
I may not be able to bypass this but I figured I’d try since this is my only mode of transportation right now.
I don’t see a box under steering wheel or in the driver side kick panels. I’m stumped as to where it would be. One area of wiring looks like maybe the box could have been there but previous owner removed and taped the wires but that’s just a guess.

Once the engine starts and runs several minutes , the anti-theft system will NOT shut it down.
