94 e150 steering gear box replacement
#2
Before you get involved in changing the steering box try to determine that you don't have a possible hose problem. It's not a good feeling after you change the box and still have the same problem.
If you decide to change the box anyway, be sure to lock the steering wheel in the center position to prevent ruining the clockspring under the steering wheel since it is an important part of the airbag restraint system.

A leaking hose isn't the problem . A restricted or blocked hose (pressure side) could be the problem.
Also,,,,, I wish you could tell us you bought your replacement pump from Ford because some aftermarket pumps leave a lot to be desired and just plain don't always work !
Make sure you get all the air out of the system. That may require turning the wheels back and forth many times with the engine running to purge the air out let it set a while for the air to come up to the top and doing it over again.
