99 Ford E350 7.3
I recently had a fuel leak, while looking at the top of the engine I found a rubber hose which went to no where. One end was attached to the "Y" pipe which comes off of the intakes on both sides and connects to the turbo. The rubber hose was attached to the top back side of the "Y" pipe. Where does the other end go to? I looked everywhere except where it is supposed to be.
I would appreciate the help!!

The E-vans don't have a waste gate on the turbo. At least my 2000 E-450 7.3l doesn't. You may be looking at the exhaust back pressure valve that's mounted just after the turbo. It closes in cold weather to warm up the engine faster. The actuator in the pedestal is also a common spot for oil leaks.

While researching this I agree the "E" series 7.3 doesn't have a waste gate. It is a Exhaust back pressure valve. The original issue I have is there's a rubber hose on the top back of the "Y" pipe which comes off of both sides of the intakes and then connects to the turbo. The rubber hose is connected to the top back side of the "Y" but isn't connected to anything on the other end. I can't figure out where the other end goes. Originally I thought it had to connect to the pedestal for what I thought was a waste gate. So I need to find out where it connects to. If you have any info on that I would appreciate any help!
