Default Crankshaft Pulley

I'm am new here so please be gentle.
2000 E-250 5.4 engine. 165000 mi.
Just changed the easy heater hose, both idler pulleys and replaced the belt.
Drove about 50 miles round trip and shut engine off. Next day started engine and noticed no power steering. realized belt had come off.
Looking at pulley alignment this morning the crankshaft pulley is about a belt width in front of everything else.
My question. Has anyone had any experience with this problem? All I know to do is get to crankshaft pulley and see if the bolt is loose, and hopefully tight the pulley back in place.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't heard of many problems with the crank pulley on 5.4s.
I am curious about the idler pulleys you replaced. Could you have installed something with the improper dimensions and that makes the crank pulley look out of place.
If you still have the old parts it might pay to do a comparison check especially since you did not have the problem before changing the pulleys.

Thanks for the reply.
Replaced pulleys and new pulleys are same diameter, compared before leaving parts store.
I got under the truck again yesterday and found what has happened. Could be wrong but I think the crankshaft pulleu is pressed onto the harmonic balancer. It hasd spun the pulley almost off the balancer. I will have to replace the harmonic balancer and pulley, comes in one piece.

Sounds like you found it alright.
You will probably have to remove the radiator to get the piece off. If I remember correctly there isn't very much room to work. People have replaced only the damper assy without replacing the seal. If you are careful you may get away without replacing the seal.
