i have a 2002 i do not have dome lights when i open the doors or turn the switch i can touch the light and it will come on they did work a while ago i have checked the fuses all r good i have replaced the head light switch and same i have been banging my head over this can some one point me the right way thanks for any help i am new to this site

 

Did you replace the bulb itself? Is there corrosion on the contacts?

 

no the light works it just will not come on when i open the door or turn the head light switch

 

I would suspect a communication problem with the BCM and the interior light system.

 

ok so what can i do what is the bcm can i buy one from the auto parts store

 

The BCM is the body control module, in Ford language , the GEM, generic electronic module. The module is a dealer item, not cheap, but you should have it checked out before spending any money because it could also be a bad connection between the systems that communicate with one another , power to or ground connection.
