Angry Door lock problem on Ford 2015 E 350 Chassis for MotorHome

Just bought this vehicle. On the drivers door, when I select to lock doors(toggle switch in arm rest), the actuators lock doors for 1/2 second then unlocks doors.
Would appreciate help in identifying cause of problem.

One other issue. Whenever the driver's door is open, I get the chimes even without a key in the ignition.....

Thanks Wiz70

Some newer vehicles have provisions to prevent locking the remote in the vehicle. If you have a copy of the owner's manual it will explain all those features.

Yup, I agree with you, if I had a remote. But, there was no remote with the vehicle when I bought it. Any other ideas?

Not knowing the conditions and circumstances at the time you purchased the vehicle, but if the problem just started that is one thing, however if the problem was always present , it could mean the remote is still somewhere in the vehicle. What does your owner's manual say regarding this feature?

The vehicle is in another town, stored at a friends house. Will check into this when I get it Friday. Thx...
