Driver's seat upgrade.
Newbie here.
Since aftermarket captains chairs are extremely pricey. Basic cloth model, with added lumbar, added seat springs, a swivel base, and required platform base will push cost to $1000....plus $100 shipping. Add another $1,100 if you want the passenger seat upgraded too.
My clean Church Van only cost me $3,500.
Has anyone attempted swapping F250 front seats into a Ford van? Anything is possible with enough re$ources I understand.
Used decent truck seats with armrests are available at reasonable cost.
Short trips, no problem....but a long, 4 hour highway trip is a tail-whoopin'. Super Duty becomes Super Uncomfortable.
Thanks for any input.

Through no choice of my own I became the caretaker of a 2001 E350 with 233,000 miles and a driver's seat cushion that looked like somebody dragged it out of the bottom of a lake. I bought a new cushion and I'm pleased with the results. I wasn't too tough to replace. I haven't done any long trips, but it's quite comfortable.
