E-150 Fuel Filter 2000 4.6
Hi Gang,
And thanks for any light you can shed.
I've never worked on my E-150 but I've been inside a number of other Fords. Falcon, F-250, Escape, Taurus. Usually I can find the information I need on-line but today I'm striking out. It looks like all the little pay to play sites for automotive help around the Internet have absorbed all the information that used to be easy to access, so I'm hoping someone here can shed light on what seems like a really simple problem.
Before I disassemble the whole interior and exterior of this whale, can someone please tell me where to look for the fuel filter?
Thanks
Bill

Welcome to the site..
its along the frame rail just about under the drivers seat/floor area. You’ll need to release the fuel pressure prior to disconnecting the line couplers. You can either remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over, or manually release the pressure from the schrader valve under the engine cover..
I can send you the instruction if needed..

If I might add a little something,
The job can be much easier if you have the correct release tool to release the parts that secure the fuel lines to the filter. You should be able to pick one up at any auto supply store. (NAPA, Autozone, O Reillys etc.)
