Easy question
for somebody smart (not me) had a check engine light come on. Pulled in to Auto Zone. Said it was Mass Air Flow Sensor ok easy. Went home got out my QD Electronic Cleaner took it all apart and sprayed and cleaned real good. Two days later light comes on again back to a different Auto Zone read computer said Mass Air Flow Sensor that is the only code coming up and was cleared last time came home took apart again looked at it close everything looks good cleaned even better put back in guess what 1 day later light back on. you got it same thing is the Mass Air Flow Sensor just bad and needs to be replaced

We all look for an easy one, but I'm not sure if this is it !
Before just going to get another MAF sensor what if you told us the exact code for starters?
Then , a good percentage of the time checks of power and ground need to be verified and finally the signal from the sensor needs to make sense (be rational).
Then verification of the signal getting to the PCM.
So what looks like a piece of cake job can get a little involved, but that is the better way to go.
I guess if you are brave and are willing to give it a shot, you might replace the MAF sensor without doing the checks.
