I have a 2009 E150. About 2 yrs ago I had a brake assist controller installed.The wiring was so close to the steering column that whenever I would turn the steering wheel it would pull on the wires. Well eventually the wires snapped and I've tried to twist the wires back together but now my van wont go into gear - it just stays in the parked position. Please help.

Can you help me out here, I'm not sure if you can't get the lever out of the park position or you can , but when you place it in drive nothing happens.
